Cross-country skiing in the Tux valley
The 14 km long Luggi Gredler trail shows off the surrounding area at it's best
The Tux valley is the ideal place for an active winter holiday in the Tyrol for all cross-country fans. Here cross country and skating fans will find a perfectly laid out net of trails as well as ample alternative snowsports such as skiing, tobogganing and many other winter sports.
There is plenty of variety, with leisurely and sporty alternatives to choose from. On the 14km classic trail, which leads from Tux-Vorderlanersbach to Madseit and the 14km skating trail between Madseit and Juns there is a track to suit every guest.
For a pleasant cross-country holiday in the Tyrolean Zillertal, please make note of the following rules:
- Please ski in the right hand track
- It is not permitted for your dog to go with you
- Do not tread on the tracks without your skis on
- Take your rubbish home with you
Cross country skiing lessons are availible from the ski schools and all the ski hire and sports shops have equipment to hire or to purchase.
